Delhi Municipal Corporation Election

On the day of Delhi Municipal Corporation Election, April 23rd, 2017, 5 out of 8 registered voters who have received their voter IDs voted in this election.
All of them got the opportunity to vote for the first time in their life. The atmosphere at Badli, the polling station, was overwhelming, exciting and energetic as thousands of people lined up to cast their vote.

We were all initially shocked to learn that our voters were not on the voting list. This was because they were new voters and had received their voter IDs only a few weeks back. We have to track down the main organizer of the volunteers who took us to a computer booth, through which we were eventually able to get ticket for our voters.

It was an exhausting process, but the pride and smile all 5 of them had after voting, made entire effort successful.
